Here’s a photo of the little cat we just adopted. His name’s Cowboy, and he can’t stay quiet for more than five minutes straight.
I took the photo with the new Nikon D50 that I just bought, and that makes a refreshing change after the crappy 2MP compact that I had! The most usual cause of crappy photo is now the photographer instead of the gear.
Update: I finally managed to get a good shot of our other cat, Fripouille, which is about two years old. It’s quite hard to get a photo of her with opened eyes, because she fears the flash! This one’s taken at 200mm :
You should have bought a Canon ofcourse. :-)
But any lenses right now.
And don’t forget to check out fredmiranda.com, and photozone.de!
That second sentence should have been a question: What kind of nice lenses do you have in mind to acquire?
Well, I’m kind of loyal to Nikon – especially since I already own an F70 with a correct 28-200mm…
This one I bought because of a special offer, it came with 2 lenses, a 18-55mm and a 55-200 (both f3.5-5.6). So, in the short term, I won’t buy more lenses; I’ll probably buy a fixed 50mm with a good aperture later, though :-)
Nice. Generally, in France cultivation at least, a cat is just a try before the child. After that, when the child come, the cat is abondonned because a cat is too dangerous for a child. That means that, soon, Colin will have long non-sleepy nights to work on sylpheed-claws.
hoa> a cat is too dangerous for a child
yes, because of its claws :-)
colin> we just adopted.
it come from SPA (organization of animal’s protection) ?
I’m part of those which think it’s better to adopt SPA’s animal rather than to buy one on the market.
@hoa: yeah, sure :-) Although we still have some time before that !
@fabien: It doesn’t come from the SPA, but from the place where Clo’s parents stayed when they came for our wedding (a gîte de france). It’d have been chloroformed or something like that, if we hadn’t taken him. I completely agree that buying a cat seems idiotic. A waste of money, and an existing cat meeting its death…
But, ‘Cowboy’, though?? huh?? :)
Fortunately, there are alternatives if you need to get rid of an animal when a child comes up! For instance, think different: either give up w/ the child because you want to keep the animal, or .. eat the animal (yummy! I have recipes for you).
Il est trop mignon votre chat !!
English translation : oh – my – God ! (Janice powa) He’s so cute !!
